Privacy Policy

The short version

Made at Home Ideas is a static content site. There is no account to create, no profile to build, and nothing to buy from us directly. We collect the bare minimum needed to understand which guides are useful, and we do not sell or rent it.

What we collect

• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data — IP address, browser type, referring page, timestamp. This is what every web host does, and it is used for security and aggregate traffic counting.
• Aggregate analytics. Page views, approximate country and device type, in aggregate. We do not build a per-person profile.
• Affiliate click tracking. Outbound links to retailers carry a tag so we know a visit came from one of our guides. The retailer sees that click and applies its own cookie policy on its own site.
• Anything you send us. If you email us, we have your email address and whatever you wrote. We use it only to answer you.

Cookies

We set no advertising cookies of our own. Affiliate partners and analytics providers may set cookies on their own domains when you click through to them or when their scripts load. Each of those companies explains its own cookies in its own privacy policy.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them does not stop you from reading anything here.

Third parties

Our pages link out to retailers, affiliate networks and tool makers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they collect once you leave us. Read their privacy policies before you hand them personal information.

Your choices

Email us to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and we will do it. If you are in a region with additional rights — access, portability, objection, restriction — those apply too, and we honour them the same way.

Children

This site is written for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be called out on this page rather than slipped in quietly.
